Dahi vada, whenever we hear this name, feel taste like sour and sweet in the mouth. Dahi vada is also known as dahi bhalla. Dahi bada is being liked by everyone, some may like khatta, some may like meetha, in any festival, whether Holi or Deepawali, Dahi Bada is been definitely one of the dish. So, we’ll make Dahi Vada today ..
Yoghurt/curd – 2 cups (hung curd)
Salt – 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp.
Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp.
Black salt – 1/4 tsp.
Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp.
Red chilli powder – 1/4 tsp.
Oil – for frying
for serving –
Black salt – 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
Green chillies – finely chopped
Heat oil in the pan and turn on gas on medium flame. Now drop the batter in the oil and deep fry the vadas until it become golden brown.
Take out vadas and immediately soak in the normal water and leave them for ten minutes.
make the curd till the vadas in the water, so beat the curd till it become smooth , you can add a bit of water in the beaten curd if it looks thick, now mix salt , black salt , cumin seed powder and red chilli powder in the curd.
Now takeout vadas from water and press it in between the palm to remove exess water, now dip vadas in the made curd and leave them for half hour.
